obesity is a major problem in the current lifestyle. This is basically because most tasks that we used to carry out on a daily basis is now mechanized and also due to newly gained economic betterment of the urban Indians, there are lot of ready made and fatty foods that is being poured into the market. Since lack of time is a pressing factor to most working men and women, the easily available and ready to eat food becomes an obvious option. To add to it, lack of any kind of physical exercise. So obesity is a natural and welcome guest in the given circumstances, but the problem is our dear guest comes alone with many more unwelcome guests, and I sure I don't really have to go into briefing who these unwelcome guests are( We all dread and hate them, why discuss them , lol).

At the same time I am not here to say shun those tempting and yum foods that are ready to eat, it is kind of not possible with the rat race we are into currently, so whose got the time to go back to our healthy home made foods. Oh! I forget, that most of our folks don't even know how to cook, haha. Its cool, we have awesome restaurants these days who can remind us of those healthy home made foods over the weekend, at a premium cost. We got the money to pay for it.

Ok now, let me cut the chase and get to business , I mean weight loss tips.

1. Bitter Gourd Juice : Karela Juice or Pavaka Juice  or Hagalkai Juice or Kakarakaya Juice.

Bitter Gourd has one too many benefits, it is used to control a lot of aliments. Like Diabetes, Acts as a blood purifier, Helps in controlling cholesterol, Helps build over all immunity of the system, helps in curing respiratory disorders, we can go on and on.

Since bitter gourd is enriched with so many mineral elements, it plays a vital role in checking cholesterol levels, which in turn helps in checking obesity. It also helps flushing out toxic elements from the body which are responsible for obesity. Bitter gourd helps in resolving digestive disorders as well. It seems bitter gourd only tastes bitter but has sweet effects on the body.

 Its true, that cooking bitter gourd is always people are hesitant to do, its pretty obvious because not many will eat them because it is bitter. Any why cook and loose all minerals in it. We all know cooking kills the essence to a large extend.

So how does one benefit from the manifold blessings of Bitter Gourd, lets thank our modern amenities and technology now for giving us wonder machines like mixers and juicers. 

Take an average sized bitter gourd, wash it well , and chop them into smaller pieces, it is better to remove the seeds( the seeds are not harmful in anyway, but may lead to loose stool for some) and crush them in the mixer or juicer, may add some water to facilitate the process.



Strain them and extract the just the juice, you may get a tall glass full of bitter gourd juice, lush green in color.

I understand , you might think it is going to be an unpleasant experience to drink a bitter juice, let me tell you, it isn't all that bad, I drink it very often, it is not all that bitter. Yes initially there is a sting of the bitterness, but trust me it is worth it. 


I suggest one should drink it in the morning hours to reap all the benefits, best on empty stomach, and let the juice do its job for at least an hour. Don't drink or eat anything for an hour, and after that follow your regular routine. you shall see the results over a period of a week or so. 


Yes coupling it with 30 minutes of exercise is definitely an add on that will fasten the weight loss process. Eating healthy and keeping the system clean is the key to leading a healthy and lengthy life.
